Product Review: I'm between thinking "I like it" and "it's okay"
PROS: It's great value; easy enough to assemble; excellent and yet simple mounting and un-mounting of the bike; doesn't seem to need specialist skewers in the wheels as it will take any reasonably square-ish nut or quick release; remember to slide the safety collars along when you have tightened the cups onto the wheel nuts or the vibration will undo the mounting and dump you on the garage floor [trust me]
Also good simulation of road riding [which is the whole point of airflow trainers. I have a Tacx magnetic one but it doesn't roll like the road.
CONS: I wish it had slightly higher resistance. I have to have it on the largest of the 3 front cogs and the smallest of the rear to get enough resistance. If I turn at 80 90 rpm which is about the right level for road cycling then i get enough resistance to simulate a high pace flat ride. As with all air trainer the noise is the draw back; I knew this having owned one before but if you want the road feel you have to have the...
