This box offers superb protection against any possible damage to your bike whilst in transit. I bought it with the hope that it would protect my Specialized Roubaix in a flight from Paris to Exeter. It did!. The bike has to have the wheels and spindels removed, pedals taken off, seat and post removed and the handle removed, then pop the frame in and strap it down, I used some pipe insulation to protect the paint work where the straps touch the bike and this worked very well. I also put my helmet, shoes, tools and other cycling bits and pieces in the box but make sure these are also tied down to 1 of the many tie down points as they will move. Then just lock the box up and your off. The box weighs about 15 kilos empty I think and when it went on the flight scales with everything in it was 28 kilos. I had riden from London to Paris and used the box on the return flight from Paris to Exeter, thinking that they would be caring for the oversized box was a mistake and it was chucked about,...
